Born out of the need to provide our members the best programs for themselves and their families, Law Enforcement Benefit Group has negotiated special programs for Members of SCLEOA to purchase and keep even after they leave their department or profession. These programs are endorsed by SCLEOA and provided through the Law Enforcement Benefit Group as a division of ABS, LLC. The letter providing authority to negotiate and offer the programs to members of SCLEOA can be provided when requested.
Too many times have we heard the story of officers who did not understand that often the benefits they enjoyed while working do not always go with them. This often leaves severe gaps in coverage which could expose their families to financial hardship should an event occur which could have been covered under the SCLEOA member benefits to include Whole Life, Critical Illness, and Accident Coverage. We all too often hear of fundraisers set up to cover the cost of accidents, illness, or even death of fellow officers. "How could that be?? you ask. Quite simply... often the officer's coverage with their department has deductible and copays that can reach in the thousands of dollars. These amounts must come from the officer or their family. Other times, the officer's family has to take time off from work to care for them after they leave facility care. The family often works and they also miss that much needed income as well. Most every time an accident or illness occurs, household expense go up! These programs for members help cover those additional expenses and bring peace of mind to all involved.
Take advantage of the benefits offered to you as a member of SCLEOA. Let's not depend on another fundraiser to be required to help out our brothers and sisters in blue when they have been critically ill or injured!
